This is where 90% of my clients are stuck.

They can’t “feel” their abs postpartum. This applies to both birth types, but especially after an emergency cesarean.

Friends, I’m sharing 5 exercises that will help you build your foundation for a strong core in my newsletter series. This isn’t the sexy stuff floating all over the web. These are the smaller, seemingly “easy” workouts that actually move things along. It’s completely free and I’ll send them out in my newsletter from July - August

Who it’s for - specifically : PostPartum women who are having a hard time “feeling” their abs connect again.

Who it’s also for - Anyone with back pain. Or moms who had a baby 6 years ago and still have lingering concerns about their core . These are all moves that are safe for post-cesarean and diastasis recti as well.

Why? We have 4 muscles in our “abs”

The six-pack (rectus abdominis) muscles on top

2 obliques (internal and external)

Your Transverse abdominis (TVA)  (the deepest layer of muscle AND connective tissue that essentially helps with breathing and holding you upright.

If we just do crunches and twisting, not only are we NOT working our TVA , we are actually making our recovery worse. Your Rectus abdominis muscles are connected with a line of tissue called the linea alba. This stretches and often turns into “Diastasis recti” , which can lead to pelvic floor dysfunction, back pain, and a visible “Pooch”.

So if your clothes aren't fitting "right', you likely don't need to just lose weight. The problem is most often alignment issues with your ribcage, pelvis, and weakened transverse abdomninis.

In order to fully regain control of our core, we need to start inside-out. Deep breathing exercises, postural alignment repatterning, balance, pressure management, we start here FIRST. Once we have connection with our deepest core muscles, then we can add the fancy stuff and build up to loading our workouts and seeing visible results.

This is a process that takes time, discipline, and body awareness. There’s no magic pill here. Just small, gentle movements that you can start immediately.

Start here today for a 15 minute workout and check your inbox!

Stand up taller, feel stronger, get rid of back pain, and feel confident in your own skin.

Each video shares the basic exercise and modifications to try. I'll also demonstrate ways to progress these simple exercises into fancier and more challenging workouts. You don't want to miss. Please share with your friends, and check back here if you don't see it.

Message me here with questions. Can't wait! Let's build back better.
